When I was a student and had no one I particularly liked, I bought a “Spiritual Love Bible” by a popular TV personality of the time. The book contained small charms (omajinai) — you could choose between one for romance and one for marriage. You’d recite the charm while writing your own name.
Being a fan of the author, I lightheartedly chose the marriage charm. After that, many lovely connections came into my life. I am now married.
Encouraged by my experience, I recommended the book to a male friend who had been single for years. He too found a good connection, and is now in a long relationship. This friend had always been “such a nice guy” to women — but in a way that meant they thanked him and walked away. Even I could never picture being his girlfriend. Yet after the charm, his luck shifted entirely.
That’s why I keep recommending the book.
